Does anyone know a free program that isnt a trial, that will combine AVI files. I need the whole version and i dont wanna spend the money.

i got an error message that said: The video streams do not share a common sampling rate

Sorry, I don't use VirtualDub so am not familar with its error messages. I may be wrong butI think sampling rate refers to the audio in the video. I'm sure someone else will help.

HAVE you tried a simple AVI to mpeg converter like pecks power joiner or convertx to dvd

when i use pecks power joiner i get the error message The clip could not be joined. (video format of XviD does not match base format of xvid)

that means that one or the other of your files arent uniform, like they dont have the same properties so they cant join.
