No problems that I know of although I don't know anyone still using Win 2000. Uninstall it. Then do a fresh download and reinstall and see if that solves the problem.

You shouldn't have to re-format your machine. DVDFab decrypter is set up to run on Windows 2000.
1st thing is to make sure that you have the latest .dat files for your virus scan.
2nd make sure that you have the latest update for Adaware (Lavasoft) or any other Ad-Aware program you may have.
Restart the computer in safe mode. Run the Ad-Aware and then run the virus scan. There are a number of things that could be interfering with the process.
Next restart the computer again and make sure you have all the updates for Windows 2000. For instance Service pack 4 is vital. You can get the updates from microsoft.com
If all else fails download CCleaner from Microsoft and it will repair your registry. If you do not know enough about computers maybe you should download Hijack This (Free) and run a scan and post your report for us to look at.
Good luck. (And just a note: This should have been posted in software forum)

My sister is running Windows 2000. She needed help on making backups of some of her movies. I installed DVDFab Express (Freeware) and it works perfect. Of course before I installed it I made sure she had all the updated service packs for her copy of 2000.
In essence I know that it works, I just think KBEZON has a problem in his computer or is not getting the updates for his OS. The program should work fine.

I f I restart the computer, the PC does not find the Windows 2000, marks that has a fatal error, Once I had open the System Mechanic 6.0 and it tried to fix the registry but at the end it failed too

It appears as though DVDFab is completing it's tasks successfully and writing the files to the C:\...\DVD\VIDEO_TS folder as it should. I don't think that is what's causing your problem. It really looks to me as though you have a hard drive that is beginning to fail. The media will break down over time and errors such as yours are common. Do you perhaps have another hard drive in your system you can point to for DVDFab's output? Also, do you have a utility (such as Norton Disk Doctor) that you can use to scan your hard drive?
You could also have a memory problem. Corrupted data in memory written to the drive can also cause these types of errors.
You should get a copy of the "Ultimate Boot CD" (everyone ought to have one) to do offline testing of your hardware. You can get it here:

@ syxguns,
I didn't mean any disrespect to Win 2000. I just don't know anyone that uses it right now so I wasn't sure if there was a problem with DVDFab and the OS or not. I imagine he has a corrupted installation, bad registry, or possibly bad hardware.

I didn't take your comment as disrespect. I am just aware that it works on my sisters machine.

Before you take any drastic measures! First try to scan our hard drive for any possible system errors. Then run system-defrag. Your hard drive may be going out, but it is better to be sure than to spend money on a new one right away. Give those two ideas a shot before you replace the drive.

No DVDFAB Decrypter is a FREE ripper, it doesn't come with any sort of ads whatsoever.
I've been using DVDFAB Decrypter since it was first introduced and I've never ever experienced that kind of problem. I highly doubt it's DVDFAB Decrypter, perhaps there are other programs or virus has hi-jacked your computer.
Good luck and hope you'll get your computer all sorted out.

Did you download the recently released Beta version (DVDFab Decrypter 2.9.7.9 beta)? I don't personally recommend betas, but if you did use this then that could be the problem. Betas are known to be extremely buggy and released prematurely. If you didn't download this, then I can only say to download it and try it out. Sorry about your reformatting problem. Best luck.
