WiFi max help please - i'm at my wits end!!

I have followed a couple of threads to sort the problem, had it sorted but am now seeing the following error:

In windows XP network settings, I open the WiFi connection and despite there being a near full signal, it states
" Status: Limited or No connectivity".

I tried to get windows to repair it automatically but it couldn't and says "The problem occured because the network did not assign a network address to the computer".

If anyone has any idea what I need to do - please shout.
