LMFAO, just sell ur 2.6, cut your losses, and find a 2.0 and downgrade it, that way you wont pop a nerve in your brain tryin to switch motherboards!! Anyway, i have never heard of some1 swapping motherboards, theoretically it should work, but never heard of a successful swap.

Actually, its a downgrade:) If u check the forums today, there was news that the first mod chip for the psp has surfaced, and will allow 2.6 psp users to finally play homebrew.

however i dont think someone that says:

could manage to solder a chip into his/her psp.

I'm not trying to be funny, but if you're extremely good at soldering and know c++, you can flash your 2.6 firmware with 1.5 using the computer.
You'll have to write your own software, which.... will be a problem.
Anyhow, there is a thing called "ppflash" for the Nintendo DS, and it's VERY similar.
I was going to do it, but then the Passkey 2 came out! :D

@ublade, im sure ur correct that it is possible with the correct programming background, but for the average user, c++ is like a foreign language, and hardly worth the trouble, since u can probably brick ur psp a a nanosecond.
Thx for the info though, never knew that it was possible to downgrade a 2.6 by any means:)

bein on acid wouldn't help him, maybe some meth/speed would do the trick, he'd prolly start rippin everything apart.
