PGEN Loads Slow

I'm having a small but annoying issue with PGEN (Sega Genesis Emulator for the PS2)...

I was able to Copy PGEN & It's Roms to my Hard Drive Using MYPS2
I'm able to launch the program with Elf Laucher as a MC Exploit..
When it loads to the loading.... screen it takes 2 mins to load before it goes to the options screen where I can choose the Roms location and start playing...

I've tried loading the main PGEN prog from the MC also but it's still slow... Any Suggestions?

Have you tried another version of Pgen?
