A while back I converted most of my files to AVI, then I found out all that does is compress them so I've been trying to convert them another format. The problem is the files are all 89mb to 120mb but when I drop them in Nero it makes them into like 1 gig. Can anyone give me some advice on this? I've tired serval things and I'm stumped.

What sort of files did you begin with and also what are you doing when you 'drop' them in Nero? What format do you want them in?

yea i got this same problem when i drag a file dats 799MB into NeroVision Express 2 DVD-Video the file became 4.99GB. How the hell did went from 799MB to 4.99GB?
The type of file dat i drag was a Movie Clip.
Oh ya also this pop-up came and asked me:

"Your project currently exceeds the capacity of a normal DVD, but still fits onto a DVD-9 disc. Do you want to have the project quality reduced automatically so that your project will fit into the available space?"

I click Yes.

It replied: "The project quality could not be reduced far enough to make your project fit into the avaliable space. Try reducing project size manually"

Did I do something wrong? or Do I have to do something to reduce my 799M or seperate it from Audio and Video?

That's exactly what I'm going though Lunar.. does anyone have advice? And as far as the file types... some of them were mpeg and others were AVI when I got them.. either way why should that matter? The fact is they are for the most part 89,000kb not 500mb. I got the trial verson of Ashampoo right now and no matter what type I convert to it's still the same problem. By the way Ashampoo is the best program I have found for converting.. I recommend it highly.. the only problem I have found with that is you can't burn to a disc.
