Slimline Disc Read Error

I have a slimline v12 PS2, and the only discs that it will read are the blue bottom discs, all other discs come up with a disc read error.

I'm not sure this is the right forum to post this problem in, but I hope someone out there can help.

v12 = crappy laser ... mine wouldn't play the blue discs but it would play everything else ... try cleaning the lense (do a search on how to clean it b4 just swapping it) ... the lenses are VERY sinsitive
