If you know the risks, try this ONCE and ONLY ONCE and let us know if it works. You have only 5 tries and then it will be hard locked. After that you will need a cable thing-a-me-jiggy to unlock it. It should still work on your Network so no big loss.

Remove sim first,power on the phone.
After the phone boots up, press #
Press * 3 times fast for (p) \
Press * 4 times fast for (w) IMPORTANT
Press * 2 times fast for (+) /
and the rest of the code---
IMPORTANT!! Verify code before pressing the last #.
If nothing happens when you enter the code, no errer code, turn off and...
Note: Some Phones require that you to insert a non accepted sim,(non Fido) you will see "phone restricted", press UNDO option and enter the code in the restriction box and press enter.)
"Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked.
"Error code" wrong code.
"Not allowed" or "Can Not Undo Restriction" it's hard locked. Used up all your free tries!!

Not sure where it will work. I think Fido is on 850/1900 bands.
I think the 6020i is a tri-band so it should work OK.
