hello, my ps2 will only read CDS now.. so i was thinking can i just get hd loader?

can i just load the progam using swap magic (as i have it) and then put games on the harddrive via my computer
and load them?

can you help
i only have a ps2 that raeds cds
can i do anything?

yes you can load hd advance using swap magic...thats wat i do and the best part is you dont even have to buy hd advance you can just download it
BUT
you should go to http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/303681 and look below the backing up instructions and youll see how to make your ps2 read disks better...it might help your ps2

What you need

Fat PS2
IDE Hard Drive
PS2 Network Adaptor
PS1 Game (trigger disc for a Memory Card Exploit)
PS2 Memory Card
Following Software that can be downloaded

Independence Compiler (Used to Make MC Exploit)

Hdloader 7c ELF

Winhiip (used to install games to Hard Drive MUST INSTALL IN PC and then in PS2)

i dont have a network adaptor but i was told using usb extreme that i wuldnt need it

is this true..
also sorry but im realyl confused.. my ps2 only reads cds..
so can i use the cd version of swap magic to load the usb extreme disc?

ok then if you're going to use USB Extreme then you need different software.. Not HDLOADER! & a USB Hard Drive

You make a Memory Card Explouit and it only needs to read a PS1 CD

hi i juse searched this site
and it gave me a long list of differnt things i can do
im sorry to be a pain
but i realy have no clue

all i have is a ps2-large
only reads cds
usb harddrive
swap magic 3.3 cd


which one do i need to make an mem card expolite for usb advance?

Download Independence Compiler 3.0 and it walks you through the steps on the screen for making the exploit... download your Usb Extreme Elf to go with it and you'll be all set...

It will make you a image file to burn with Nero or burning software of your choice .. You burn the CD boot it with Swapmagic and the exploit will be on your MC...

you boot the PS2 with your PS1 trigger disc and it will load the exploit and USB Extreme should start....

If you want to try and fix the laser so it will read all games
