It is fucking legit, unlike your horrible typing skills. At least do us a favor, and hit the Caps Lock key.
Yea, 1.5s are going to go down in value. There's no reason for them not to.

It hasnt lost its value, the modchip is still in the works yet, so until that comes out 1.5 is still the best!

Yea, "until" being the keyword. It could come out in 6 months and it could come out next week.

There are still a lot of questions regarding this chip. The most important question will be: how is the cheap going to handle new firmware releases from Sony? I'm sure Sony can easily release a firmware that will not detect the chip.
Back to the main topic: 1.5 psps may lose some value, but some people prefer software mods over hardware mods. What if the chip burns out the entire psp after a few months? 1.5 is going to be the safehouse for mods, so basically, 1.5 psps will live on.
Personally, I'm thinking about modding my white psp, and selling my black 1.5 psp. I need the money to build up my umd collection and for a DS lite.

Not sure what you mean by this. The purpose of the chip from reading the info appears to be to install a dual boot system where you can choose to boot either the new or the original firmware. It does not matter what sony do, detecting the chip is irrelevant.

I phrased that sentence wrong. I meant to say that Sony could probably release a firmware that will boot the entire system without enabling the mod chip. But I'm sure the guys behind U.P. will release some kind of software to counter-act Sony's firmware, who knows.
