For some dvd players the movies I back up are only nararrated. They work fine for me but when I watch them at my moms they are nararrated with the commentaries and you can turn them off. You can still hear the audio in the background but not enough to hear all the words. I use dvd Shrink and have never had a problem until recently.

You can listen to each audio track in DVD Shrink. Once you know what is on each track, you can turn off the one you don't want by unchecking it's box.

To listen to different audio tracks:

Start the movie in the preview window.

Right click in the preview window.

Select Audio from the menu.

The current audio track that is playing will have a check by it.

Click a selection from the Audio menu to select it and then listen to it.
When you find the audio that has the commentaries, note it's name (Something like AC3 2-ch English or something similar) and then uncheck it's box on the right.

Now, even if you keep the rest of the audio tracks you will not have the commentaries.
It's usually best to un-check all the audio boxes except the main one. I almost always keep only the AC3 5.1-ch English and uncheck the rest.

I thought maybe it was some settings or something on my moms dvd player because it doesnt do it on mine, only hers. Thanks I will try that.
