Hey everyone,

Recently my friend bought an import copy of Initial D: Battle Stage at an anime convention. It is NTSC-J, and since I had a copy of Swap Magic 3 v3.6 Plus, we hoped that it would work. We took it back to his house, popped in the Swap Magic, it booted up, we popped in Initial D, and when we got back to the SM3plus menu, it said not a valid ps2 game. We realised that we hadent changed the video mode to NTSC (Which we should have to as were in US, an NTSC region....but oh well), and tried again....still no go. We tried doing the normal boot, and the special boot, but still nothing happenned......

Can anyone tell me place how to specifically use this software, I tried using search but its been disabled for now <,<

EDIT: Sorry about that. But his PS2 is one of the older ones, and one of the first 3 or 4 models released....

Thanks guys ^^

Sounds like you are not using the SM3.6 properly, have a look at http://www.swapmagic3.com for info on how to use it.

Well, we tried it exactly how it said on the site, but when we put the game into the PS2, it said 'not a valid ps2 disk.' Hmmmmmm.

So I tried using the CD boot disc, and it turns out its faulty >.> I had only used the DVD boot disc, and it works fine, but the CD one dosent have those lines on the bottom of the disc, when I put it into the drive it dosent even recognize theres a cd even .in. there. =\

Are you using the slide card or a flip top?

Also seems like the laser is on its way out...

Slide Card. It could be that the laser is on its way out too as it is an older generation PS2
