Ive just had my ps2 slim mod chipped, (on saturday to be precise), when i put various back up games i get the following message "Please insert a Playstation or Playstation 2 format disc" But it doesnt always come up some times the game will start ok.

Also sometimes if they start up there in black & white, this includes original games, if i turn the ps2 off unplug & try again, it loads in colour as normal

Any ideas what the problem could be?

Just need to know when i take it back I can have answers for the people who modded it.

The black & white problem, on the originals, happened after only about 20 mins of play on the ps2, when i swapped games.

Not to sure wot chip it is. how can i tell, does it say under the Playstation logo on start up? think ive seen something there.
