Hi,

I am currently using Swap Magic 3.0 (CD) and 2.0 DVD versionfor playing my PS2 backups. I recently bought a Network Adaptor and I plugged it into the expansion bay with an IBM 60 GB harddisk (I checked the compatibility chart and it is compatibile).

The problem is that for some unknown reason I cannot bootup the PS2 with the different versions of HDLoader(0.7e or 0.7c; DVD or CD; from sksapps or other sites). I slide out the swap magic disc as usual as I play with my PS2 backups but the disc just don't load... For DVD, it flashed with a quick blue background in the loading screen and quickly turned to a black screen, where it stopped. For CDs, red screens in the loading screens.

I did some research on google and haven't been able to come across a problem similar to mine... can anyone give me a clue on where could I have done wrong?

your help is much appreciated..

Well, there are a few options for you that I can see. You could try loading it with ZoneLoader, you could try loading it with CD/DVDLoader, or you could try loading a memcard exploit which could remove the need for HDLoader. Good luck with your troubleshooting!

Best way to do this is to use the mem card exploit, and install the hdloader ELF onto the mem card. You can download an "exploit creator" which will basically build you an ISO based on your specific configuration. Boot with whichever method you choose (obviously SM) and it will install the exploit automatically to the card.

Use Independence Compiler to make a MC Exploit
http://sksapps.com/exploit/independencecompiler3.0.rar

burn to disc boot with Swapmagic Cd and it will install the exploit..

boot your PS2 with your PSX trigger disc and you'll be good to go
