Basically I would like to install emulators for the SNES, Megadrive/genesis on my psp.

I'm currently running firmware version 1.5 therefore I shouldn't have any trouble?

I have searched for information on emulators, downloaded a couple too, but the instructions aren't entirely clear.

I would appreciate it if someone could recommend a specific emulator and give instructions on where it should be installed/whether any other applications are required for it to run, also a place where I would be able to obtain the roms - do psp use the same roms that you'd use for emulators available for your PC? I apologise for my ignorance!

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

All u need to do is put the the desired emulator folders in the game folder of ur psp. U should have two, one with a % and one without. Put all roms in the folder without the %, and ur good to go. Nothing else is required on 1.5 fw. And yes, roms that u play on ur comp will work on the psp:) Dont apologize, we all gotta start somewhere:) Sorry, cant give u a link to roms, that is against the forum rules.

Hello,
Thanks for your reply.

This GAME% folder, it doesn't appear to be on my psp, should it be alongside the GAME folder, or should be inside the GAME folder?

Regards,

Dan

Let me reword this:

1.When u connect ur psp to ur comp, open the psp folder, the open the GAME folder, and then put the two folders included in the emulator zio inside the GAME folder. Their is no GAME% folder. Lets say u r putting snes9x on ur psp, then u put the snes9x and the snes9x% folders in the GAME folder.

I've tried the megadrive for psp 0.2 and snes9x.

I have the following folders in my PSP/GAME folder:

UMDEMULATOR (EBOOT.PBP in here)
UMDEMULATOR% (EBOOT.PBP in here)
SNES9X (EBOOT.PBP in here)
SNES9X% (rom file in here)
PSPGENESIS (EBOOT.PBP in here)
PSPGENESIS% (rom file in here)

no, put the roms in the folder without the %, that is why u are getting that message. Also, there is an eboot in both folders.
