Hi,
I recently installed a Duo2 mod chip in my ps2. When I turned it on, the disc wouldn't spin, so it didn't work. I desoldered all connections to the chip and taped the ends, so its just like it originally was, and the disc still wouldn't spin. It's not the lens because when a disc is over it and I press reset, it moves, but when there is no disc, it doesn't move.
When there is a disc there, the spindle that the CD is on will spin about 4 times (estimate, it's going very fast) and then stop. I checked all connections, and the ribbon cables are in tact. What is wrong??????

I assume you have a Fat ps2, correct?

What disc/what kind of Disc? Is it a backup or an original?

Yeah it's a v7, and the disc was an original. Both original and backup don't work.
