Don't think so, but I think I read somewhere that psp2 will be able to, though that's probably not much help to you!!!!

There was a project that was unfinished, but you could only listen not talk which is pointless but still thisi s the closest to communication as you'll get: http://pspupdates.qj.net/PSPSMS-0-2a1-Released/pg/49/aid/48936

given the fact that PSP has full internet access can you not get VOIP working somehow ?

Saying that, there is no mic input, so obviously not..... doh !!

Ahhh, so it wasn't such a daft thought then :)

yea, you can do that whole SMS (short message service) thing, but there was another prog released which lets you place calls. You can't talk, but you can hear their phone ring or something like that. I asked the author about it, he laughed when I suggested it could be used for phone hacking. :) I guess he's thinking along the same lines b/c you can make all the prank calls you want and you can never be traced. Aside from your mac address, but they can't trace your location by that unless you're on the net w/ your PSP constantly.

Ok I was wondering since you can get a mic now for games like socom. i bought mine off ebay a few days ago for socom anyways so I thought maybe you could use the PSP to make phone calls aswell.
