Could an ATA hard drive work with a slim PlayStation 2, more specifically the Version 14? If not, can an add-on be put on to make it support an ATA hard drive? I have heard of add-ons for IDE hard drives, but they don't seem to be compatible with the Version 14. Why?

USBeXtreme lets you use an USB HDD to play games. Alternatively you could get something like HD Connect or HDCombo

yes, an HDcombo case would be a good idea. The internal drive would work better than USB
then you could make any of these work
Ultra ATA
Serial ATA
EIDE
Just not SATA

Yeah, but like I said, the HD Connect/Combo look like they're only compatible with the Version 12 and 13, not 14, which is what I have. I had heard somewhere that the IDE points have been removed on the Version 14. Answer this question, please.
