Hye!! My problem is quite weird.. It starts good and runs the game start video (AWSOMMMMM!!!!), then i choose a car, a mode (quick/career), then it starts loading the game, and - the PSP shuts down!
Did anyone here have this problem? could it be an iso prob?
(im using DAXZISO)
Thanx all!!!

How are u boorting the, what are ur setting in the loader when u load the game? U might also have a bad iso.
Try putting direct load as the option, with flash o and 1 off, and allocate ram off as well as boot.bin off. If this still doesnt work, u probably have a bad iso:(

hi
i had the similar problem where my psp would turn off as well, i'm new to homebrew let alone i'm testing daxiso.
i tested a game GTA and it comes with original iso so its perfect
aka run 'umd emulator, then mph ' etc.
but i was told of dax where its small, but it refused to work. I tried weeeeeeeks.
finally used your advice aka 'off flash, allocate tables off, bootbin off, etc ........the only difference is i used 'mphgl' direct instead of just 'direct load'
the game works now but i get crackling in the intro and the game is not smooth......why is that? what does flash and bootbin do ? will it affect game play?
p.s while i'm writing to you my 'html tags' are off....why? how to fix?
thanks buddy, cya

i found out part of my problem was that i replace my given 'daxiso' with the new 0.62
that was PARTLY why i couldn't load it (i think)
but the game is very static like in the intro and so is the beginning of the game play. (whats wrong)
P.s i know nothing bout homebrew so teach me if you can :)
pps the iso maybe a bad iso for all i know but the ISO without compressing to dax works fine.
HELP !!!

Well this is exactly what happened to me except it didnt make the balck screen, it just kept froze on the loading screen after career mode. It's most likeyly DAXZ ISO Loader. If you dont DAX it, it should work via UMD Emulator, but if you still want it compress, I suggest using Dev Hook 1.40 and compressing to cso format.

it only freezes on the loading screen if i try the original iso loading method with dax file aka 1. load iso in umd emulator 2. use mph
i was told if daxiso didn't work i can use the old method (that method is worse, it freezes) and like i said if i use daxiso in dax emulator it shutsdown.
after playing with it i got it to work, but like i said the game is very ratty (intro is staticy, game runs normal then slight rustic feeling)
i can't live with just iso cause 2gb is the max unless i get a high paying job and buy a 4gb or 8gb. I want to be able to put 6-7 games like other people.
what is dev hook? is the quality the same as dax? how much compression do you get? do 'you' use cso (never heard of them)

@astro
1. u using dex ziso with or umd emu? Dax has umd emu in its core, u never said u were actually dax as ur loader
2. Did u decrypt prx's or something? This can cause music not to play correctly and skethcy animation in some games.
3. Devhook .40 is a loader made to boot 2.5 and 2.6 games. Dev hook has been around a long time, just like dax. And .cso is a compression format just like .dax. .cso is the only compression that devhok recognizes.

i'm using dax-iso with the dax emulator (isn't that where dax goes?) However i've tried the old method originally you would use with a original iso file (umd emulator then mph)
whats a prx? cause i d/l gta-tested (it is the original iso) it says to use umd emulator then mph) it works nicely but now i'm trying to dax (compression) stuff.
i have a 2.6 however i also bought a 1.50 cause i heard most homebrew work on it, cause i wanted to test games that didn't require the umd itself, amongst other utilities.
So maybe 'devhook' isn't useful in this situation.
conclusion: in the long run i heard dax is just normal iso but all you do is stick it in the dax creator and output is like original iso but is small. Too bad first it won't play, and now it does but
static-y.
looks like daxiso 0.6 doesn't like the game. (ps game is GTA LC)
