Need to know Colin McRae Rally 04's disc format.

I have to know Colin McRae Rally 04's disc format because I was looking for something on a P2P application, and it seems as though it has 2 discs. The files are compressed, and show the possibility that it's a CD-ROM game. But, when I looked at a scan of the cover, it says "DVD-ROM". What's the game's format? It's a PAL game, by the way.
Speaking of which, was this game ever released in America? One web site which shows the compatibility list for all programs that can load games off a hard drive indicates one Colin McRae Rally 04 as being American. Can anyone confirm this?
