Well I know that the first mod chip came out recently, I just had a few questions.

1) how does it instll, pretty much I just want to know if there will be any souldering.

2) What can Sony do to stop peole from using it, I heard that the can brick the PSP, is that true?

3) Is $90 or what ever a good deal, or should I wait for the price to go down or buy a different chip if one ever comes out?

Thats about it any help would be great.

1) Yes, soldered
2) Possibly, if you solder it bad or fry the chip
3) Depends how much you use your PSP i suppose, different for different people if you want access to 100s of games ASAP then perhaps its a great investment. And im not sure if the price will fall for a few months as its not even out yet :P

Thanks I think I will wait a little bit before I get one. I dont like the soldering aspect, not the best person to do it, I dont want to ruin my PSP :-)

i agree with everything said above

there is always a risk with any chip - once it comes up im pretty sure a lot of shops will start installing them for you (for a small price ofcourse)

so.. wait for that

That's what I'm waiting for, a shop that installs the chips in the PSP. I know I'll eff mine up if I try it myself.

i wonder how much it'll cost to get someone to do it :o

Whichever genius introduced firmware versions compltely screwed sony over. They should have spent more time double checking the code. But oh well, whats done is done and everyones happy :)
