Dear David66:

I had an older version of Nero and updated to the 6.6 on the Nero website. it looks like the version i have is new than the one you are suggesting. i went to the Nero website and looked at "older versions" but did not notice 6.6.018. how would i get this version? is Nero 7 worth getting as i have heard bad things about it. Thank you, jamie1972

Hi jamie1972
That's the error (Cannot connect TRF) you'll get when trying to autoburn w/ Nero 6.6.1.4 & Shrink. Since it didn't actually burn anything on the disc you don't have a coaster.
So you can go down a version - 6.6.0.18. Unisntall (write down serial #)run the clean tool then reinstall.
Quote:
File 'Drivers\InCDrec.SYS'
This is Nero packet writing software that can sometimes interfere w/ burning. So install this too and run that clean tool.
Here's links for you:
Clean Tool
http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/enu/General_CleanTool.html
Package 1
http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe

Package 2 (recode & vision)
http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe

InCD clean Tool
http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/enu/InCD_CleanTool.html

Put one of those discs in your drive then in NeroToolKit>InfoTool>disc tab will show you the manufacturer. Post back the manufacturer.
Do the discs playback okay in the pc or is it a standalone that has the pauses?

Dear binkie7:

i just downloaded clean tool and ran it on "nero" and incd".
I am currently downloading package 1 and package 2 and incd clean up tool. as soon as this is finished and i get things running again i will get back to you on the manufacture.

i haven't tried the playback on my pc. i usually burnt it to the disc from the hard drive and then throw it in the dvd player. it was on older and newer dvds so i figured there had to be a bug somewhere. thank you very much, jamie

Your dvd player may need a lens cleaning too - sometimes if it's dusty there can be playback 'glitches'. Try them in the pc and see if you get any pauses there - esp in the same place as the dvd player.
Keep us posted!

Hi jamie1972
You're welcome!
Thanks for posting back your results!!
Ritek is good - you may even want to bump the burn speed up to 4x and see how it goes.
Happy Burning!
