problems backing up all dvd's

i've been having problems with every dvd that i try to back up. i am using my normal process of running a dvd through dvd decrypter, opening the files in dvd shrink, and buring via dvd shrink with nero.

the process is working great, until anywhere between 50 - 99% of the burn process, and then i get a write error. this is happening with every dvd i try to back up, regardless of media.

i encountered this problem once before, and i uninstalled all of my dvd software. after reinstalling dvd shrink, the problem was fixed. later, i was able to isolate the problem to downloading an update for slysoft's anydvd program.

i will follow this post with dvd shrink error logs.

There's a newer version of firmware, YSOY, for your burner here:

You should uninstall Nero InCD by running the clean tool:

You have Roxio CD Creator also installed. Roxio and Nero don't get along as both have low level operators installed in your system. Uninstall the Roxio software and run the Roxio Zapper:

You're also burning at too high a speed. A good rule of thumb for getting a good quality burn is to burn at 1/2 the rated speed or less of the media. If it's 16X media, burn at 8X or 4X.

You can also try burning with DVD Decrypter from DVD Shrink. After clicking the Backup icon, select "Create image file and burn with DVD Decrypter". Of course DVD Decrypter needs to be installed first if you don't already have it installed. There's a link to the program in my signature if you don't have the program.

You're using Nero 6.6.0.13. Version 6.6.0.18 is also a stable version. It can be found here if you choose to upgrade:

I'd do the other things above before I'd think about upgrading the Nero version. They are more important overall right now.
