if there is already a thread for this im sorry, but im posting this so that people like me who wanted to change their psp background could do it easily and without any homebrew applications. i run a v2.6 and i tried it with jpegs. im pretty sure that you can do it with different types of images, but dunno about versions.

1. plug in your psp to your computer
2. place the images in your photos directory of your psp (this what mine looked like g:/psp/photo)
3. disconnect from the usb
4. view the pic you want as your background from the photo menu
5. press triangle and it will bring up a menu
6. if you want the image to be full screen then change the "view mode."
7. go over and "set as wallpaper"
8. it will as you to overwrite, click yes and then go back to your menu.

if this doesnt work for anyone or if you have any additions please post them.

Thanks for the info but, The reason why we have to use Homebrew Apps is because we run on version 1.50 and the PSP 1.50 doesn't allow us to change the wallpaper that easily.

PS2 Slimline + Swap Magic + Fan
PS3 60gb Version 1.90
PSP 3.52 M33 EUR Black Version + Logitech Hard Case + Logitech 3 Sound Speakers + 2gb Sony Memory Stick
Nintendo Wii + 3 Wii&Nunchuck Controllers
NDS Original + M3 Simply + 1gb Kingston MicroSD
NDS Lite + M3 Simply + 2gb Sandisk MicroSD

3dlius, is it tru that a lot of ppl brick their 1.5s by changing the default backgrounds. Read somewhere that "pimpmypsp" or some program like could easily brick a otherwise fine psp. Thx;)

not true. I've changed my wallpaper multiple times using psppersonalize and I've never bricked my psp. And as far as doing it not using homebrew that's no secret really. Sony made this possible from 2.0 on. You have to use homebrew if you have a 1.5
