HELP! A friend scratched one of my original dvds, and now I can't back it up, cos dvd decryptor keeps getting stuck. Is there any easy way that I can polish the dvd to remove the scratch?

I tried a scratch remover and it didn't work. I read this on another forum, wash the dvd with warm water and a touch of soft dish detergent (liquid), dry carefully. It's worked for me on the worst disks I have.

Better still - get a lighter and flicker the flame over it very quickly, that always works for me. You can only do it once incase you start to affect the dye's

hahahahahahahaha at wash & flame methods !!!

If you have set DVD Decrypter to 'Ignore Read Errors' and it still has a problem ripping it , I think the disc is probably too damaged.

All of above is obviously only my opinion: )

hee hee hee, good point forgot, it was the original.

BTW, it is funny actually, we should start a thread in the safety valve to see what gender everyone is, it is nice to see we are not only blokes that are into this game - we should NOT assume this is just a mans game LOL
