are the files on your memory card crushed or uncrushed? they have to be uncrushed in order to use them with games.

Ok..........question and a run through
I can't use a backup copy of action max I need to get the real thing.
And also I saw on a website that the action max uses a special flash drive that you can only get if you buy the thing. I have a memorex flash drive and the action replay doesnt read anything on it that I put on also I can't move or copy my saved files from my memory card on to my flash drive is it because I am using a backup Action replay?
Oh yea I also changed the format still didnt work.

The same problem here: I have a slim modded (CC1.1 modchip) PSTwo and a copy of ARMAX. The ARMAX boots OK and I can view the contents of my memory Card, but I cannot read from or write to my Kingston 1Gb USB flash disk. I have noticed that ARMAX reports something around 2Gb for the USB flash! I tried both FAT and FAT32 formats with no success :-(
Probably, I have to try another USB flash memory...
Any ideas?

There is no way that it could be 2 GB it would be so much more money if it was

Yes, of course. It is not 2Gb.
But I am wondering if this some strange ARMAX problem having to do with its inability to read from or write to my flash memory....
I don't know, as I said I have to try another USB flash to be sure...

are u guys sure that its AR MAX EVO? the action replay only sees .max (max dirve gamesaves) on your flashdrive. those are the only things i could think of. my back up of ar max evo works fine. my san disk cruzr micro 512mb works with it.

I downloaded form the link above and tried AR MAX EVO.
No success :-(
ARMAX EVO (as well ARMAX) is still reporting "Space Free = 0/4194303", for my USB flash memory. And it is a Kingston 1Gb flash! I tried formating it to FAT and FAT32. No success...
The problem has to do with the USB stick and not ARMAX.
I still have to try another flash memory...

So can anyone help me I am not sure of what to do.

i had the same problem when i turned off the PS2 while it was saving something. first launch action repaly and go to max manager. then copy all your gamsaves to your pendrive. except for the file with corrupt data. then choose your memory card with corrupt data as the primary drive and press square to format it (this will erase everything on your memory card) then just move all your gamesaves from your pendrive to your memory card. and it should work.

I have had the same problem with the max drive corrupting my saves and my memory card. I will have to try the above mentioned technique to try to fix it. I also lost some of the saves I had saved on memory cards. I have the 128 mb max drive and it is a POS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is there actually a device out there that won't fry my memory card everytime I use it? I am trying to use it to copy NCAA Football rosters off the internet. I have some Flash drives that I don't use, so is there some software that I can buy to be able to use them on my PS2 that wonn't screw up like the Max drive did? Any help Please!!!!!!!!!!!

oh... your max drive didnt come with action replay max evo? well uh... im not sure what you can do. i think you could try to expliot your memory card and get ulaunch to boot. but ive never done it, ive just read guides and stuff that tell you how to do it. if you want to "try" it check out this website: http://www.exploitstation.com/index.php?page=faq http://console.iscentral.net/ was also a good site but apparently it got hacked and is down right now =(
