I remembered this link time ago.
Thought it would be a good topic.
I didnt know who to believe but i think MPH programmes are great,laggy..but great.
Whats your thoughts?
Quote: After having read so many errors (and lies) on Internet, I decided to explain the story of the downgrader.
First all credits :
I thank
- DjTOTO to have tested my programs.
- Groepaz/Hitmen to have given the first homebrew 2.00 allowed by the overflow TIFF.
- PspPet for his PSAR dumper and all research.
- Nem to have given the first homebrew of the PSP.
If I did not give these credits before, it's because that appeared obvious that I had based myself on the helloworld of Groepaz/Hitmen, considering that any homebrew 2.00 is based above.
And for PspPet and Nem, it's because in general in the credits, we don't go until the 'sources' (Each homebrew PSP should grant a credit to Nem considering it's thank to him which the homebrew on the PSP began, and one should all also thank the creator for the language C which should thank to ..., it is a chain without end which will finish with the first man who invented the wheel  )
For this reason, I had not put these people in my credits, on the other hand I have put a person whom I withdrew after the last events once that the downgrader left : yoshihiro
He added me in MSN to speak to me about his projects and so that our ideas are exchanged, I relied on him then we helped ourselves :
- He gave me a file which corresponds to the FAT of the firmware of the PSP 2.0 that I could not have since I did not have a PSP 2.00.
- He asked me to code a program to him which will copy all the FAT (the nand) of a PSP 1.50 in a PSP 2.00, I made him by specifying that surely "brick" the PSP, he answered me that it was not serious considering the tester had a guarantee, I thus gave him by requiring the results of him and indeed the PSP was bricked.
- I did not have a PSP 2.00 and I thus asked has yoshihiro (and others) to test my programs, but that complicated the development then I decided to buy a PSP 2.00.
- I continued the tests alone and I ended up coding MPHDowngrader.
When I saw that it functioned, I immediately posted it on psphacks.net and little time afterwards, yoshihiro came to say to me that he had found an idea, I said to him that I had succeeded and he asked to me whether he could put the news on his site, I said yes, I did not know that he was going to lie at this point ...
I wanted that the truth bursts because yoshihiro and the sonyxteam are allowed to create news releases downgrader while putting like name : MPH_SXT whereas I do not have anything to have with these releases, if they are bugged and that they brick your PSP, the fault will fall down on me.
On the site of the sonyxteam, we can read this :
Who we say Fuck to: Alonetrio and what remains of the WAB TEAM, Artik from.......
I do not have anything to have with these remarks in spite of what the sonyxteam is allowed to say, I fu.. nobody except yoshihiro and the sonyxteam !!!
And the last thing, yoshihiro is allowed to criticize my programs by saying that they are not stable (the downgrader and the firmware launcher).
For the downgrader, he says (I quote) :
We wanted to warn the users that the fiirst beta downgrader version released by MPH is VERY Unstable ! It has butt 5 to 10% chances to brig your psp when using it, because it writtes directly one the flash offset and that edge Be very dangerous, uf the offset exchanges just has little it will overwrite another file than index.dat, and that will brig your psp without doubt
Approximately, that wants to say that my downgrader can brick PSP because he writes directly in the flash without testing if I write index.dat well.
If he would be really to code, which I doubt, he should read again a little more my source to realize that I make a test before writing, and what I writes, it's right only 3 bytes to withdraw "the reading alone" of the file index.dat.
His downgrader uses sceIoRemove, which wants to say that if for somebody reason new file index.dat cannot be copied, the PSP will find myself without index.dat.
Thus for me his version is not more stable than mine especially than it integrates the index.dat in the program, which is interdict considering index.dat is a copyrighted file.
And for the firmware launcher, he still says that my version is not stable and that his is better, but at the execution, somebody was said to me that there were no differences (I did not test personally) and no sources available for his program.
All these small things irritated me and I needed to explain story.

What do I mean?
I mean that that has to be one of the most grammatically incorrect pieces of text I have ever read.

SXt main men are pretty good Coders.

Quote: Created the downgrader (yeah that was him, MPH pretended to work with him and stole from him his downgrading idea as well as how to write on the flash from user mode (that's about 90% of MPH's downgrader xD), He even spent time on msn, psphack and sxt's channel thanking yoshihiro at the time and he thanked him in his sources too ! (weired it's been removed now xD) And still we gave him credits for the downgrader we released (for the about 10 % of work he did (that was mostly testing as unlike us he had a 2.00 psp))
SXT have yoshiru and Mathieulh...two of the best coders...in my mind.
