well as no1 been talking since may ill start again.........iv only just got my wifimax and it seems like every1 else got it years ago......any way i need help realy bad!1 okay iv got to the point where im going to jump off a bridge my wifi max connects when i first start up my computer so i get 5 mins of online fun with socom but after that 5 mins it disconnects and says a connectoin eror has occurred a connection to the access point could not be established. check the seurity settings ect ect.... but it says all this but 5 mins ago it worked????????????? please sum1 help

well i would but that would be like chucking £25 down the drain!! i would rather try n sort it out. and its not my computer to go buying a wireless router 4.................but any way thanks for your thourts

Do you have a firewall?? Becuase maybe it times out, because the firewall then blocks it...disable your firewall.

well i have turnd off my windows firewall amd i searchd my computer for any other firewalls and i found norton so i turnd that off...but it still doesent connect for a long time or all the time.. i dont no what else to do. im not that good on computers so i might of done somethink rong or sumink but i dont no what any more help would be greatfull

maybe your computer is on tighht secured sharing....

Have you done naything like click any boxs in the internets properties?

yeah iv done all of that internet sharing its all been tickd i just can not work it out! i dont want to send it back but i might have to thats if they take it back................its a shame no 1 has any more ideas!! if you do tho keep posting..................thanks to bombayboy at least you have tryd to help........
