I recently borrowed a disk from a friend that has about a dozen SNES ROMS on it. He said that it worked fine on his modded PS2 but he said that I could copy the ISO to my hard drive an play them just fine loading them through the HD Advance. (I have the HD Advance 2.0) After ripping the ISO to my computer and transfering the ISO to my PS2's hard drive I tried to play the games. Everything seemed to load just fine, Snes Station started up with out any issues. I though it was kind of odd because I had heard that it wouldn't load using the HD Advance. So I went to the ROMS selection menu, and lo and behold there were not ROMS to be found on the disc. Back to my computer I go to investigate to see if I did something wrong. Upon inspecting the ISO, it turns out that all of the roms were in their own zip archive. I thought that was kind of weird so I extracted all of them so it was just the .smc files on the disc. I asked my friend about it and he said that it worked just fine on his. I transfered the ISO back to my PS2 and started it up and nothing. Snes Station wouldn't even load which I though was really wierd because I did nothing to it other than extract the games from their zip archives. I would really like to play these games again as I abandoned my SNES for my PS2 a few years ago and having moved several times since then I lost the controlers and the power cord. :( I searched Google a few times looking for a tutorial or something that would tell me how to do this but to no avail. How I transfer files to my PS2 is to connect it to my computer and use hdl_dumb, disconnect it from my computer, put it back into my PS2 and pop in the HD Advance disc. I don't have a network cable long enough to reach two floors. Also is there something else that I should be putting in the "Startup" box in hdl_dumb? I know with my backups it would automatically enter the "SLUS" number or whatever that is but when I select the ISO for the SNES roms ISO I get nothing. The first time, when it acutally worked, I put in SNES_EMU. Second time I tried SNES_EMU.ELF, which didn't work so I went back to SNES_EMU and it still didn't work. What is really confusing me is that I've read that Snes Station doesn't work with the HD Advance but I got as far as the Menu but it couldn't find any roms. I'm sorry if that rambled a little bit, it's way past my bed time. Thanks for any help, I appreciate it.
