I have this sony camcorder that I had laid down for a couple months since the last use.Now when I'm finally about to use it I have this problem with the image not showing through the view finder nor the fold out LCD screen.When I point it towards an image i'ts nothing but blanck but you can still see the icons displays on the screen plus it could zoom in and out but stiil no image. what could possibly be the problem and is thier any way I could repair it myself.

i think you would have to contact sony about this, is it still under warranty.
