I am trying to fit a 6.5GB disc onto 2 discs. I have an ISO file and an md5 file. If I use decrypter to burn and select the md5 file will decrypter automatically detect the break and ask me to insert the second disc at the appropriate time.

or perhaps more to the point, is there a way to split the iso file onto two discs so that I do not have to compress it?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. I actually need to change the question a little bit. I have four files. IO, IO1, IO2, and IO3. 3 of the files are 2GB each and the last one is only 250 MB. I also have a md5 file.

Will Decrypter allow me to burn those files onto 2 separate discs if I just choose the md5 file?

I tried DVD Fab but it does not recognize the I00 files. The same with Shrink and Nero.

Anyone have any suggestions as to how I can convert the I00, I01, I02 and I03 files into either an ISO file or VOB files with an IFO so that shrink can read them??

Shrink should be able to read these files, try using the file tab and then choose open disk image, browse to your mds file and open it. Shrink will then create a VTS file for you, make sure you have this checked in your backup screen to save to HDD and you will see a box to check for creation of VTS files.

Did you rip this file with Decrypter because I00, I01 etc., files denote that you have a Fat32 file system. If you are running XP as your OS you might want to think of formating to NTSC you will have less troubles.

Thanks for the suggestion. I opened Shrink and did as you instructed and it appears to be working. I must have tried to open the IO1 file instead of the mds file. Thank you.

No, I did not rip with Decrypter. The files came to me as I01 etc.
I actually converted my system to NTFS several months ago based on a suggestion from the forum and it has worked great ever since.

Thanks again for your help. That was going to drive me to drinking if I did not figure it out.

It appears that I spoke too soon. I used Shrink to read the mds file but it stopped about 42% into encoding and came up with the following error message:

"Programming error - exception occurred."

Anyone have any thoughts on this or should I start chilling the Bombay Sapphire?

Programing exception error can be because of protection or a bad/corrupt file. You can try running this through isobuster and see if it will correct the problem. I have not used this but I hear it works.
