Yea,,DVD Decrypter ,, IMO it's the best DL burner it handles the
layer break very well,,

just open DVDD and ISO read then ISO write..but make shure you
choose the "MDS" file,,it has all the layer break info in it.

i use this on all my DL bake ups not one problem with it

i would also like to ask a few questions.new to the dl burning seen.but not single layer a bought a three pack of DVD+R hp dl discs last night and have ruined everyone of them.yeah i know it sucks i hate sounding noobish but this is getting frustrating real quick.not sure if it is the discs are the burner it'a lite on dvdrw sohw 1693s.don't really know exactly what the problem is because i tried same movie and stopped once at 52 percent and once at 22 so that's really weird i am totaly stumped and any help would be greatly appreciated.oh and also burning at 1x.hope that helpsand also used dvdd and imgburnstumped big time.

Decryptor is really good for DL burns but many here will say IMGburn is the best for DL burns--I think it's IMGburn. I'm blacking out at this moment. I forget what the title of the program is. I'm at work--forgive me. I know the program I'm thinking about looks identical to Decryptor. The reason I downloaded it is for this reason. I'm pretty sure it's IMGburn. Can someone confirm this?

Also, adviceguy, your first and only mistake is the HP DL disc. Since you already trashed them, go ahead and use it as a frisbee because for DL discs, you should only get Verbatim. No if's, and's or but's about it.

What makes IMGburn better than DVDD????

I think DVDD does an awsome job on DL burning,,not one problem
ever with 20+ DL burns.

adviceguy,
If you will try Verbatim D/L DVD's then I expect you will have no problems as HP blank media is really bad. Burn them at 2.4 and you should be able to booktype them as you are using a Lite-on burner.

I agree with Car.Mike. Use Verbatim DL media.
Here's a guide on burning a DL disc with DVD Decrypter:

Good luck!

ImgBurn -is- DVD Decrypter minus the ripper. Same author but more recent code though I doubt there is much difference.

free software works!

Like joeblow32 said, ImgBurn is by the same author as Decrypter. He had to remove the ripping parts for legal reasons. ImgBurn is/will be updated, Decryter will not. Changes include support for the newest burners and Duel Layer writing was made better.

You can find it here: http://www.imgburn.com/

Here is the latest change log: http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=changelog
