Im not shure but I dont think it will work on the USA,
can someone confirm this?
apply to the original (untouched) iSO image, using PSP UMDGen or PPF-O-MATiC 3.0:
Its on the top of ps2owns.com,
Im going to go check there forums

No Im not trying Fifa street 2,sorry,I did not no there was a patch,
People are saying that game works just load it with Dev hook,
A couple people also reported they had a bad iso I forget the size,
Im trying to play splinter cell so I can see How bad it is freezeing/sound etc.
Then Im doing Metal Gear Solid Digital Graphic Novel.
i was also thinking of Patching the main splinter cell Iso with the new PPF patch Then do the rip kit on it and see what that does.

I understand that you guys get frustrated with people asking stupid questions the entire time, but I have read up on this and I have done everything. I have replaced the .prx files I tried with Star Wars, Lumines and Wipe out Pure. Im still having no luck.
I was reading up on some of the other forums and one of the guys there said that Fifa Street 2 didnt need a prx swap.
am I just maybe using the wrong start up settings in devhook??

very sorry guys, but can someone post a guide for super stupid people like me?
man that guide is just russian to me.
ANY help at all is appreciated. am not up to speed with all this tech talk.
on another note, i've almost given up on playing games like this, syphon filter and fight night 3 in my 1.5, so how would i be able to play these games without upgrading my firmware past 2.0 (where i won't be able to downgrade to 1.5 again)

Do you have devhook? With the latest release(.41d, get it here http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BR7RXE36) you can emulate 2.5 firmware and play pretty much all games just like if you had a 2.5 and above. I am extremely tired, so im jsut gonna explain Fight Night right now. Downlaod UMD Gen 2.00 or 2.01 from psp-hacks.com. Start the program, and open your Fight Night iso. Go to the update folder in the iso and delete the it. After deleting the update folder, go to file->save and this will create the new iso. Put this iso in your ISO folder in the root of your mem stick and boot devhook. All the default settings in devhook are ok for Fight Night, so just hit start. Now u have a playable Fight Night 3 iso. I will explain the others if nobody else does tomorrow, good luck:)

hey there i just got my hands on splinter cell and for the life of me i cant get it going iv followed all your instructions in almost all of your posts on dev hook i have the dev hook V41 followed all the instructions on the iso the iso i had had the work done for me but still i couldent get to work iv just complited your tut on the splinter cell and i had no success it just shuts down after i press start is there anyway you could tell me if im using dev hook in the right way do i have to install the firmware first jeese im a bit lost on this iv done this as well just want to know in plane word from start to finish as in if i get the iso already converted i thought i all i had tdo was load it....
Hope you can help my sons doing my head lol i also have fight night 3 world cup 2006 cant nay working so if anyone could help me on this that would be great :)

For Splinter Cell:
1.) Have you changed out the PRX files w/ the Street Riders PRX files? (If you've followed the tutorial as you've said, than this should be done. If not, click the link at the bottom of this page.)
2.) Have you used a 2.50 upgrade required UMD AND a 2.00 upgrade required UMD and extracted the update off of BOTH of them w/ the "dh" folders in your PSP\GAME directory? (Some ppl say you don't need to do this, b/c the generic "X" folder from G3N3515 or RunUMD is good enough, but I set up my DevHook v0.41d w/ the 2.00/2.50 updates. I mean, why else would the empty folders labeled "2.00" and "2.50" amongst the others be inside the "dh" folder in ms0, you know?
NOTE TO MODS: Whilst on the topic of providing this link, some ppl have posted links to PRX files, and some ppl have removed them after they posted. I've posted these as this is still a "grey area". I am unsure as to whether or not I can post PRX files, but I think it's ok that I do; that's why I did it. If this is wrong, please delete and make it clear as to whether it's cool or not b/c most of us still don't know.

done all that bud but honest dont know what im doing wrong iv read that a 4 gig mem card is having probs with this whch is what i have do you think this could be the prob wish somone could just do me the set up for me lol then i could see whats what and maybe then it could point to what it is im doing wrong :) anyway iv been spending ages on this i need a break then ill take a look at it again i was thinking of maybe formatting my mem card but mmmm dont know.....

ps its not just splinter cell i cant get world cup 2006 - fifa street 2 working either lol and iv done a nightshift on this to lol and all day tried all the different ways different dev hooks changed the files rebuilt the iso but nowt i have noticed that when iv done the dev installer it dnt change in the dev hook menu bit it still says version 1.50 dont know if this means anything i know its prob somthing daft but it sure has got me :)

yeah, I have been doing some research on the 4gig hdd. I got one as well, they recon that there is some sort of flaw with them and they cant read into the programme. I think whats even worse is that no one has been able to come across a patch to make it work so we are pretty much screwed in that department for now. Personally I dont have much of a choice but to e-bay for a Sony 2gig.
Question: Will the Sony 2gig magic gate work fine? Or would it be better to go for the Sandisk??

svtstang, followed all your instructions, but cannot get devhook to work. when i try to run fn3 iso it just says "can't load/start devook".
what could i be doing wrong? did what you said, downloaded devhook, deleted the thing using umd gen etc etc.

If it says cnnot start devhook, that means that the files for dh are not installed correctly, and not the iso. Make sure you have all the folders in their correct places, and try it again.

No, unless the place u got it from tells u. It doesnt matter either way, I have iso's from all the regions and have no problem booting them (DJ max Portible is the sh!t lol)

Sorry about that.
Still trying to get used to the whole "quote" thing. ha ha!!
I would prefer to get the Sony 2 gig. The only thing is that will the devhook work on it? otherwise I'll just save myself the hassle and go straight for the Sandisk.

It doesnt matter if Sony makes it or if its made by Sandisk. All that matters is that irs not fake. Either one you decide to get will be fine. Also, remember you shouldnt pay more than $70 tops for either brand. Look around a bit and u will find great deals.
