hey all.... I tried backing up Date Movie with DVD shrink and got the cyclic redundancy msg. I then tried again using DVDfab Decrypter and it screeches to a halt at a file after almost 2 hours with it at the same file it had only moved about half an inch. This is the second time (second copy of the movie) i've tried to backup and the same thing happened. Any one else encounter this/know how to get around this?

get anydvd from www.slysoft.com and use the build in anydvd ripper and see if that works.

I would do this too. DVDFab is usually right up there in this game, but AnyDVD is updated more often. Utilize the trial period.

Latest AnyDVD to rip > VOBB to blank the unwanted on a DVD > Shrink to compress > ImgBurn to burn = Never starting a thread asking how to backup a movie

ok.... so i downloaded the trail version. Now is this a program that runs in the background when I use Shrink? Or is there a way to just use AnyDVD? Sorry, I'm pretty new at this. I downloaded the program, rebooted my comp and tried to backup the movie again (with shrink) and at the exact same spot (44%) I get the redundancy msg again.....

yes anydvd does run in the background while u use shrink but i would try the build in anydvd ripper first. to get to the anydvd ripper go to all progarms and click on slysoft and then from the side menu select the anydvd ripper.

also do u see a little red fox head down by your clock?

right on the little red fox head and you will get a side menu and from there click on rip video-dvd to hard drive and the AnyDVD will open.
