hello uber people of afterdawn, i'm new here so please be gentle =0)

downloaded a real media movie but i can't seem to access the subtitles through real player one which plays the video and audio but no subs so i try vlc and in return, it plays the sound and gives me access to subs but no video???

so is there a player out there that can play real media with subs or some sort of codec i need to acquire or is it as simple as turning something on in one of the players??? thanks for your help
