I NEED HELP LAUNCHING v2.60 GAMES w/ DevHook v0.41a

How do you do this? Do you extract the 2.50 FW from the UMD for the "2.50" folder in "MSROOT" folder w/ DevHook v0.41a? Is this how you play the 2.60 games? Is there a way to extract 2.60? I don't know what I'm doing here. And I haven't even gotten my PSP into the 2.50 emulation mode as some of you talk in here. I'm lost. I really wanna get Coast to Coast working and I believe it can be done somehow, but.... ???
and before I get flamed for this, I have searched the other threads. They tell you how to get games working, but there is a step missing: Somehow, I have to get to the point where I am able to use the settings prescribed for certain games. I know how to get Splinter Cell working based on the settings, but it's a 2.60 required upgrade game - I need to know how this works and what I need to have set up for the games to actually launch.

The answer is the almight prx, its makes a once unplayabe game, well, playable. It will takes pages to explain y dev hook works, and hoestly, I cant explain everything. Just put the X folder and dh folder in the root of ur stick, and the other 2 in he GAME folder. After that, its comes down to doin a little research and figuring out what is required to make each game work. Some games require nothing, some need prx swaps.......
What fw is ur psp btw?

Wait, hold up. X folder?? I download all three recent Devhooks so and I haven't seen an X folder in any one of them. Do I need it and where do I get it? What's it do?

X folder had the flash for 2.5 i believe. It is included in the rar of devhook .40 (at least the 1 i dl'd). Remember when Syphon Filter and Y's Ark were released, the X folder was a necesity to get them bootable on the 1.5. The X folder had the flash and necessar prx's to get the newer game to boot.

oh, I've got the fricken X folder... I just don't have AIM. That's odd that you need to use the X folder. I haven't read that anywhere... ne way, I am just going to continue to hack the HELL out of Coast to Coast until I effing get it. I have wanted to play that game for soooooo long.

Me too. If there's a way, I'm sure I can find it. I am good w/ this kind of stuff. (hacking)
I just need to understand how this new app (DevHook 0.40) works, then I think I'll have a more solid ground to stand on w/ my Coast to Coast endeavors. So what I think I'll do is get Splinter Cell working to get used to DevHook 0.40, then go for the gold!
Btw, I STILL need help getting the NO UMD ISOs working. (launching ISOs w/o the UMD in the drive.) They have tons of releases which are supposed to do this, but I can't figure any of them out. The only luck I have had w/ DevHook is DevHook v0.22. I can actually get "Direct Load" and "ISO Hook" to work, but the other DevHook releases including DevHook Evloved and MPH r3 and r6 don't do what they say they do. This is turning out to be a joke. I almost feel like a n00b w/ all these new apps. ppl will ask me for help and I'll be able to help w/ the older stuff, but the newer stuff I have to ask ppl for help w/. I have been so busy working all week and I have kind of fallen behind w/ all these releases b/c I have been watching my Mom's house while she is out of town. I need some good time to sit down w/ this crap. This weekend a lot of good stuff is gonna happen. Continuing on w/ my ramblings, I wanna know how hackers who put bittorrents up get games that I know are 2.60 required upgrade games to show up in UMDGEN as a 1.50 required upgrade. Example: I just got the torrents of Colin McRae Rally '05 and ToCA 2 - these games are not even released in the US yet, but they show up as 1.50 and 1.52 update required games, respectively.
Weird.
