Help!! controller port 2 dont work

I plugged in the controller to port 2 and it lights up and everything but the games dont recognize it in their...i tried puttin in a different controller but it still doesnt work!!

Maybe your controller port is dead? The controller works when they are plugged into the first port?

yes it does..it only doesnt work when it is plugged into controller port 2

The memory card slot on both controller ports also works... its only the controller input that doesnt work.

If the problem exists in more than one game, then most likely the port is dead... you could try to open it to see if you can see any obvious loose wires, but I'd get it to a repair guy
