Ive seen videos/pictures of it done on 1.01/1.5 psp's,where the psp was used as an all purpose remote control. Is there anyway to get this firmware onto the 2.00 psp using the GTA boot, or is there firmware availible already?

There isnt a firmware that allows this, i think you need external hardware to achieve it...?

yea i kinda used the wrong terminology in that..basically what i want to know is if there is anykind of downloadable application that works with the GTA 2.0 loader. I found a bunch of different sites and threads about the psp universal remote, but its all 1.5, just curious if its availible for 2.0 or not

Erm im not sure, if there isnt a 2.00 version you could always downgrade

Yea, i was thinkin about downgrading but then i gotta redownload all my snes/nes/genesis stuff...etc etc...not worth it imo. also makes my copy of GTA totally worthless =/

No, because there are now ways of playing 2.00 + 2.50 games with devhook and if you make a backup of your files on your pc you only need to drag and drop them back on

i use IRShell. (v1.6 has just been released). its a multipurpose shell and ir remote. it works really well you should see the wonder on my brothers face when the tv 'magically' turns itself off lol.

I would seriously consider downgrading if you have 2.00FW. With DevHook you can play all of the games that require 2.50 and below firmware. As far as a remote control that will run on 2.00, I don't think you will find one. I am pretty sure that the IR port on the PSP requires the access that 1.5 provides.

ey guys.. i checked what type of firmware i have it says 2.00 but it functions like a 1.5 all the hombrew games i like to play is ok.. also got the universal remote function activated..
@ hodgekins--- read about the IR Shell hehe.. too late bro.. for now im satisfied with just the remote hehe.. its just to show grandma that her money didnt go to waste when i bought the psp hahaha...
by the way do you always have to choose the brand of tv or vcr before you can operate it its too much hassle is there something that can operate on all brands.. change channel turn off volume.. ust the basic...

i see.. when i bought this its already like this.. can u tell me how they did it thirst? one time i also this trick thing that u sed.. i uploaded my tomb raider file with dev hook4 but the game was busted at that time cant get in. so i pressed home.. when it came back on.. theres a new icon one that allows you to surf the web i cheched my settng and its 2.5.. i turned it off and on again its back to 2.00..:) got me baffled.>:)

That's because you were using Devhook and Devhook EMULATES 2.5, hence the web browser being on there. Your PSP was tricked using the WAB Version Changer to make it be a 2.0 when it's really 1.5. Download WAB Version Changer again, run it, and change your version back to what it really is.
