A while back i had problems ripping with dvdfab decrypter.(Because of sony arccos) I ended up uninstalling it and reinstalling an older version 2.9.7.6. and ever since it has worked fine (even with new movies like underworld evo) Has anyone had this happen to them or heard of issues with newer versions?

Co45 ,
I updated also and have no problem w/ DVDFAB Decrypter. Try the newer version and see if it does it again. Make sure you always uninstall DVDFAB D before you install a newer version. Post back your results if you can

Well thanks for the responses. but i believe i was misunderstood.
My Baby is dvd decryper But when it doesn't work the first thing i use is dvdfab because it always works (except that one time).
I was just wondering if anyone has heard of it. And because of your responses i think it might have been a pc related problem.

looking at your stats you seem to have very little ram.512 is recommended and your pc looks under resourced.Try upgrading both the ram, chipset and board to something more recent and you may get a better result.............
and daman1 would probably suggest that this is a good idea as well, wouldnt ya.
(another one liner)

RAM is relitively cheap, but not free. As Guyrus stated 512 is really the least recommended amount of RAM to have for the tasks that you are trying to do. Otherwise, it might be a good idea to put the backups on the back burner until you get your new PC. It looks like you have plenty of HD space, save your money there.

@Co45
Did you format the drive when you installed it....did it come with an install disc?

there is no need for the kid stuff...
@locoeng
I tried but everytime it kept getting to 5 percent and it would stop i let it sit for an hour and got nothing. So i just restarted and let win do a quick format. But what sruck me as odd was when i got it,it
was reading that it was less that a gig total space?(in windows..bios
still read it as 40gb)But after the quick format it now reads at 37gb.
I was actually told by sony that my pc shouldnt even be able to support my burner (because of the ram). But for right now its serving its purpose. I just shut everything down and let decrypter and shrink do its thing.

Hi Co45,
I have to agree with Sony. With 128 Mg of RAM, I don't know how you could burn sucessfully. Just the act of turning on your PC would use up a lot of that RAM. :( Since you have at least a single slot, it should be possible to upgrade your RAM to 512 Mb. That should allow you to encode, recode and burn DVD's although, with your processor, it will take time.
cheers,
(Hey Guyrus, I'm wondering if that was a "one liner" ? :)
