Hi,

Basically, my psp problem is the mobile phone keyboard thing.
Everytime i go into it (e.g. nickname, internet, anything that requires me to type in a something) the keyboard just goes all weird.
i think its the alphabet selecter thing or input modes? but anyways, it rapidly changes from the regular abc to the other selections. im not sure how to explain it but can someone help me with my problem?

Thanks

Yea, you might wanna d/l an app called PSP button tester from qj. I think one of your buttons is depressed constantly and you won't be able to tell which one it is until you d/l this app. You push all the PSP's buttons w/ this app and it tells you which buttons are stuck, working and non-working. You do have a v1.50 PSP, right? If you do, just click the link below and use this app. Once you find out what button is giving you trouble, mess w/ the button a little bit, OR if you have a little experience, just open up the PSP and mess w/ the little rubberized pads created for the external buttons to set on. (You might wanna rotate it if it's either the dpad or the four buttons on the right. (Square, Circle, etc.) On the PSP, you push down on a button, it pushes down on a rubberized pad which in turn presses down on the motherboard, making contact w/ it... Again, sounds to me like you have a button which is making constant contact w/ the motherboard.

Hope this helps, dude.

Here's teh link for the Button Tester:

and here is the link for a tutorial on how to take your PSP apart if you trust yourself; then you can mess w/ it from the inside. (It's really not that hard to open the PSP up and work on it from the inside. I was scared the 1st time, but you can't really screw anything up if you follow the directions.)

It may look like a lot, but just take your time. You should find it pretty easy.

:D Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply :)
but sadly no, i own a version 2.60 :(
hmmm..also i have noticed, that during a middle of a game, when i press "home" all the buttons get locked and the sound mutes, the only way for me to exit this is if i either press home again, or lock then unlock.
