You can just play them on the computer - emulators for sega/nes are very well developed.

Yes you could - take a look here: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/351999

Yeah playing them on a PS2 is rubbish!!. The sound and framerate are very poor wiv Pgen. It just aint no where near as good as playing your roms on perfectly tuned emu suited specially for doin just that on a good PC one which, i must say is Gens. The only thing i found wiv playing them on pgen is that its alot easier with a controller and harder wiv keybrd. If only there was a better one for PS2, unfortunately thr isn't and doubt there eva wil b. If u haven't got Gens yet, i suggest u do try google.

LOL no kidding, the last release for SNES Station was like 2 years ago, and that release left a lot to be desired. My PSP plays roms better than my ps2. Like Dan said, find urself a new release of SNES9X and u will feel like ur palying the game on the real system.

Lol, I think snes9x and zsnes (one of them - can't remember which one) apparently performs better than the console itself

Just think how much time, effort and money companies have put into making these games, if they don't want it to be freely available, there isn't really much you can do about it :)
