I keep getting this message and its driving me nuts. I have a gateway computer running windows xp pro, plextor 716a drive and dvd decrypter. I made sure the settings are all set at dma, turned off all of the norton utilities and spy sweepers. Made sure no other program is running. I am using verbatim dvd dl discs. I have wasted about 8 already trying to burn these discs. some burn and some wont. it is a k-drama series and I cant seem to burn #5 disc. This is one of the messages I keep getting.

what I would do is to try to burn with IMGBurn instead of DVDDecrypter. it's more up to date and it's made by the same auther of DVDDecrypter which is not updated anymore. you can get this free program here:
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/imgburn.cfm

if this is the case and it does burn to your DLs then ok..... but if it doesn't then it's DVDD not making the ISO correctly and could be the problem.

And this is what I found out while I googled your problem Invalid field of CDB
Quote:
The error message "invalid field in cdb" is probably due to a
buffer underrun, because the error was sent as a reply con-
cerning a write command. This can occur, if the data is not
sent quickly enough for the recorder to write it. It is sent,
because the sector, that should be written has already passed
the laser beam. So this sector number cannot be written anymore
and thus the error code "invalid field in cdb" is sent.

Solutions:

1) Write with slower speed (1x, 2x)
2) Do not use your PC for something else while you're burning
3) Purchase some memory. We would recommend at least 64MB for Windows
NT 4.
4) Defragment your harddisk
5) Turn off background tasks like virus scanners, network remote
access or Office index generation
6) Make sure, that energy saving and screen savers are turned off
before burning
7) if you're using a notebook, disable the harddisk energy saving
8) Do not drag ISO files from a CD ROM drive into your ISO
compilations.
Such CD ROM drives tend to "fall asleep" from time to time.
Afterwards
they need quite some time to spin up again. A buffer underrun
may happen.

hope this helps!

also just noticed the DVDDecrypter error while you were writing the ISO file:

it's telling you that at Sectors 32-63 there is something wrong and to check the condition of the disk itself! try cleaning the disk and then write the iso file again!
and the SCSI STATIS: oxo2 is here:

IHoe,

Thanks for responding, I am doing all of the things you suggested in your list in the invalid cdb field. I will try img burn. This is really getting frustrating as bb mayo guide said, it should be easy with DVD Decrypter. I figured do it the easy way but am getting frustrated with all of the dvd's I am wasting. If I am not mistaken, I think I tried Img burn before but it does not take the mds file written by DVD Decrypter. I tried Nero, dvdfab, AnyDVD, and dvd clone. All with worse results than DVD Decrypter. I will try again. I just did another burn with decrypter and it said successful but when I put it into the dvd player, by the way which is region free, it still would not play. Am giving up hope soon, as this makes cup Coaster #9. I just cant figure out what is wrong yet. I will let you know how it goes with img burn.

Thanks for you help.
