I am trying to burn Carlito's Way using DVD Shrink and DVD Decryptor. I keep getting an error saying the parameter is incorrect. I try again and it says the handle is invalid.
Any suggestions as to why this DVD won't burn? I have never had a problem until now.
Thanks!

Hi shoenut
Rip this with DVDFab Decrypter (free) then open those files in Shrink and process as usual.
Or have AnyDVD running in the background w/ Shrink. Not free but 21 day trial.
Both programs are updated to handle the newer protections.

The error (s) you're getting is telling you Shrink can't handle the copy protection by itself.

Thanks Binkie!
Still having trouble. Ugh. I tried DVDFab and it wanted me to insert the movie and a black disc. I only have one DVD burner and one CD-RW burner. Tried AnyDVD, left it running while using Shrink and I got the same message that the parameter is incorrect. Question: DVDFab asks for a Destination and a Target. Huh? LOL More than likely I am doing something wrong!!

Did you download DvdFab Decrypter or DVDFab Express? DVDFab Decrypter is only a ripper. So I think you downloaded Express - it does have a free trial and should handle this movie.

Now AnyDVD not working with Shrink hmmm it should easily handle this one. Do you see a red fox in the system tray (bottom right corner of screen)?

Oh and don't have AnyDVD and DVDFab running at the same time - can sometimes conflict.

I downloaded DVDFab Express. It ripped the movie but it would not let me burn it. So then I tried AnyDVD and yes I had the red fox at the bottom and it said "On." It ripped it also but I could not burn it. I think I have my Destination and Target wrong on DVDFab Express. I'll try DVDFab Decrypter, After I rip it, how do I open it in Shrink? I know, a lot of questions and I'm sorry!

@shoenut
No problems on the questions! I should have given you a link to a guide.
I'm not fimilar with FabExpress have only used DVDFab Decrypter.
But if you already have the files on your hard drive from express in shrink click on 'open files' and open the video_ts folder were express put the files.
Here's a guide - you can probably skip the ripping part since you've already done that.

Thank you so much for all of your help! I actually printed out the directions! Now I get a message saying there is not enough space on my C:/ drive. Holy cow. I checked my free space and only have 4% free. Weird, as I have deleted AnyDVD and only added DVDFab. I think I have a lot of movies on my hard drive. Arghhhh!

You're welcome shoenut!
AnyDVD and DVDFab are pretty small programs so they won't take up much space.
4% left - eck! Sounds like you need to delete some stuff - alot actually!
Remember though that Shrink will leave the movie on your hard drive until you delete it. If you ripped w/ DVD Decrypter 1st - it will too.
Just using those 2 progs (decrypter to rip & shrink to encode) could take up about 12 gig - just for 1 movie.
So start burning (if not already) & deleting them :)

With DVDFab Express, you can choose a folder on your HDD as your target, and then burn it later. Or, since you only have one drive just choose your burner as your source and target. After ut us done encoding it should just spit out your original and ask for a blank. Make sure you look in the DVDFab Express/Platinum Temporary file, it will store movies there and not automatically delete it, if the process was not completed.

Thanks for everything Binkie! I tried to do the movie 4 times today and followed the directions to the "T" and Shrink still says there is not enough room. I cleaned out and am at 64% free so I have no idea what the problem is now. Shrink leaves the movie on my HD? I have always deleted it fron the C drive, is there another place to look? ACCKKK!!!!

C is usually your hard drive - so you probably deleted them all. Big difference from 4% to 64%!
Make sure you cleared your recycle bin too - then I would reboot.

I'm pretty sure Shrink can't do this one by it's lonesome so you'll need AnyDVD or DVD Fab Decrypter back again.
Keep us posted!

editted to add: Just realized you keep DVDFab. Just use DVDFab express on this one - see arniebear's post on how to copy & burn w/ this program.
