DVDBack, you ironman(?) is over the 50k but your user bars is under 6k each. ronin's sig is just under the 50k. auslander's is 17k. jamaal is over the 50k. ipirate is over the 50k. blivetnc is 21k. gjl2002 is 14k. pulsar's is just under 10k. catfreak is just under 60k. shauntay's is 29k. Deadrum's is just under 50k. is it the format language causing that or what? at 1st i thought it was to do with colors but now don't think so. what do you think?

Try reducing the resolution down to 96 or so DPI for on screen web viewing, some of the graphic programs default resolution is 100-150 DPI. the resulting file will be about 25k, if I resize mine to 150 DPI it will be 153K, just an FYI.

I think its just that the smaller kilobyte sigs are saved as jpgs, while the higher kb ones are saved as png or other formats. i have been resizing the sigs ive made for other members (rav, lethal...) so they are under 50 kb, simply by saving as jpg instead of png. loses a little bit of quality, but barely noticeable.

you have to much in your sig..its either bars or pix and 3-lines of text
read this
Signatures
These rules exist to make viewing the forum as pleasant as possible to all users. Even though you might think signatures with large pictures look cool, some might find them extremely annoying.
1. Text-only signatures should have at most 5 lines of text.
2. An image-only signature should be less than 50kb in size, and be at most 500 pixels wide and 200 pixels tall.
3. If you use an animated picture in the signature, it should not be too distractive. Eg. blinking images or images with quick movement are not allowed.
4. If you want to use both text and image in your signature the image should not be more than 500 pixels wide and 100 pixels tall, and you can use up to three lines of text.
5. All the abovementioned rules for forum posts apply also to the signatures.
Violation of these rules does not lead to an immediate ban. However if requested user must edit his or her signature to fit these guidelines.

I have my sig as a GIF file but it is 500kb. So I saved it, as below, but it's much better animated. Is there a free program which will shrink the original GIF down to 50kb or less GIF to maintain animation??? Your sig work is outstanding I might add.

Sorry about that. For some reason, I had 150kb stuck in my head...
Sig should be 10kb now.

jamaal,
im pretty sure it was 150 until just a little while ago..so dont feel like ur going crazy ;) Also, youre sig now has visible marks that it has lost quality, try converting to jpeg with higher quality, like a 7 or 8 if using PS cs2.
garmoon,
have PMd you the shrunk gif with added text. hope you like ;)

It looks good man!
Just an idea...add some filter effects to the background and maybe some C4D and it would look a lot better.

to add to what jamaal said, you need to blend the dude with the sniper rifle more, he sticks out too much. otherwise, looks good.

Simply put, C4D is just another way to make your sig look better. You can make your own, which is incredibly hard, or d/l them from numerous places. Here is an example of C4D: http://www.planetrenders.net/renders/displayimage.php?album=10&pos=0
Like DVDBack23 said, you might want to do a little more blending before adding more stuff.
