If you open it, is easy to see the fuse, because ia a regular one.
Is a standard glass tube fuse.
Is near the power source´s cable that comes from outside the ps2

you need only to know how many amperes it have, and that I can´t remember. The shape and size of that kind of fuses is the same for all of them, except the number of amperes that they can support.
I saw few pictures about that in this site but can´t remember where.
Perhaps if you start a new thread with what you need somebody´s able to help you better than me.

I found a picture, is from the old PS2, but I think the fuse is the same. Not only for ps2 but for the most of electrical devices, only have the amp vallues variation.I found a very good site with technical pictures, but is in portuguese(my language) and has a very bad translacion. http://outerspace.terra.com.br/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=45052 But the pictures are very good.
The picture with the fuse is the 33rd.

No thats not it the PStwo uses different fuses. I forget which fuse is it when there is no power, but its one of those PS?? fuse. It also could be your wire for the ON/OFF swich or ON/OFF swich

But if you gonna open your PS2, check all the fuses, because a few more could be melted

it may not even be the fuses it just could be a loose connection to the mother board cause i had to resolder my power port because the solder on it came loose and then there wasnt any power going to my ps2 so check that as well.
