hi ive used (ImTOO DVD to PSP Converter)- (PSP Video 9) - (PSP Movie Creator) and created fine quality psp dvds from 200 mb - 600 mb no problems but when playing movie on psp it plays perfect for about 10 mins then an error on screen every time(this video cannot be played)
my psp is v 2.60 can anyone help with this, a setting on the psp or sumin
has anyone managed 2 watch a full movie without any errors

try the converter by erightsoft name is super c.. it works perfect for me..:)

@ ikari_t, i wouldnt use that all the time mate, only if your having trouble converting a certain file format, there is far better conversion software out there.
I,ll tell you what...i,ll convert a clip of a movie my way and you can download it and see what you think. When its ready i,ll post back in this thread.

ok thanx, i dont realy have much problems converting the dvd to MPEG-4 the problem is when put on my psp the movie plays perfect for about 10 mins then it comes up with an error( this video cannot be played )the files play fine on my pc

had a look at the encode perfect quality, what was used to encode the file was it from a dvd or a AVI file - i couldnt play it on my psp it couldnt see the file im on v 2.60 - the files where in the correct folder J:\MP_ROOT\100MNV01\ - i have had the same problem with psp not seeing files encoding with (PSP Video 9)

Djlee but the files into the folder named 100ANV01.
Remember, this is important with higher firmwares the movies must go in the correct folder, or it just wont work.
M4Vxxxx.MP4 goes into folder 100MNV01
MAQxxxx.MP4 goes into folder 100ANV01

thanx m8 got it working in the end exellent quality, what prog did u use to encode the dvd , and have you managed to watch a hole movie without errors

I,d say i have about 100 encodes, and all play flawlessly mate. ;)
I use MeGUI, X264, DGINDEX and BEHAPPY.
I,d be more than happy to help you get the best encodes ever chap.

hi again m8 did an encode with DVD Decrypter and psp video 9 encoded fine put on psp played perfect for about 10 mins then same problem
(this video cannot be played) i tried using your instructions on custom profile guide , but when starting selected custom profile when starting encode it reverts to using AVC/368-208/29.97fps/384kbps Stereo/96kbps rather than using the custom profile?
sorry for all the questions just want to do a good encode that works on my psp

THANX M8 TRANSCODING NOW IT WILL TAKE A WHILE I THINK - I GUESS THE PROBLEM WITH THE ERROR (this video cannot be played) MUST BE JUST THE WAY IM TRANSCODING THE FILE I SUPPOSE - I PLAYED IT AGAIN AND IT PLAYED FOR 20 MINUTES THIS TIME THEN ERROR

No bother mate, if you want you can do it this way:
GO to LOCAL DISC, PROGRAM FILES, PSPVIDEO9, right click on PROFILES.XML,OPEN WITH NOTEPAD.
Copy and paste the following: For 1.85:1

hi once again m8 , i think i will give up one trying to play a movie on my psp, followed your instructions made a perfect quality fullsceen transcode of (the one) played it no probs on my psp perfect until about 3 minutes into the film same problem error(this video cannot be played)also tried it on my brothers psp same problem both on v2.60 maybe the newer firmware wont play backup dvds - if u have anymore ideas on the problem give me a shout,i will probably try one more time on a different pc

Mmmmmm...This is weird...What settings sre you using? If its one of my profiles, are you applying it and then going to profile picker selecting the said profile and saving it?

saved it selected saved fine encode fine - had this problem with every program ive used the backups look fine play perfect on my pc also play fine on the psp up 5 to 10 mins

I cant see anything wrong with that...feck sake...Lee try one of vid9,s own profiles. I,ve never come across this problem before.
