First, Vongo saves it's downloads to a "hidden" folder which you can see if you enable 'show hidden folders' and 'show hidden files'. Second, the movie files appear to be a file type only recognized by the Vongo Player that is part of the service. So far I haven't been able to convert these files using DivX Creator or Nero. I'll keep trying until the "free" trial expires.

I stopped the download at 99% but the file shows no bytes and windows media player attempts but cannot play it. What more do I need to do to duplicate your success?

Why don't you just get a DVD recorder like this one at Walmart.com.
Polaroid DVD Recorder with 80 GB Hard Drive & TVGuardian Filtering, DRM-2001G
Record up to 102 hours of media on the internal drive; Create DVDs at the touch of a button; Easy one-touch recording
DRM-2001G

One more note dvd recorders only record in analog stero and not in surround sound.
