Hi LP :)

Adding a chart is a good idea.

As you can see with the saving private ryan frames I included how long it took and what I think came out the best. (everyone will see something different and will have there own idea of what looks the best)

Most people do not like to use Encoders because of the amount of time it takes, but for me when I use my Dual-Core PC the times are very quick so where it takes about 5 hours with my Intel P4 it only takes 2-3 hours (depending on the movie) with my AMD Athlon.

EDIT: I only have 1Click dvd copy pro would that be ok?

Absolutely, I have been thinking about upgrading to 1clickDVD pro, would like to see what it can do. I never bothered with it before. I save movie only, will look at extras only once so not worth saving. However I would like more control over what gets left-in and what gets removed. My chief complaint with 1clickDVD is the in ability to save both Dolby & DTS sound tracks when available.

I have just downloaded 1 click and have a 10 day trial. I will do both for you so you can see how much difference there is.

I will post the pictures very soon :)

DUDE, YOU ARE THE MAN!!!
As far as quality comparisions, I think you'll see pretty much consensious on results once people put in their 2cents worth.

@pstamer

DVD43Free is a good free solution as the name implies. But if you have not tryed AnyDVD out I would give it a shot. Another possible reason, I made a backup of signs once and did movie only with menus. If I pushed "Play" on the main menu nothing would happen. I had to go to "scene selection" and start the movie from their. So try starting it from the "scene selections", I would then suggest a "movie only" backup and if that copy doesnt work you know its because of the protection and then you will need to use AnyDVD to fully "unprotect" the disc.
