Ok, so I downloaded Splinter Cell. Aite, so I boot it up and it turns out it's flippin German. The language is English, but all of the words and menus are in German. Is there any way I can get them into English, through some options or ripping out every language in the ISO but English?
just change the german named folder to "english" and the english named folder to "german" like the old port of Transport Tycoon Deluxe fix for PSP. nikka.
are you being sarcastic? Or are you serious? That will re-route the syscalls. I learned that trick when I downloaded Transport Tycoon Deluxe and REminiscence. I had to do the language file fix for both. I hope that works for you, buddy. Hell, if it does, you could be playing that game tonight. But beware: When playing it, you will have to SKIP the 2nd movie. The one that starts out by some dude saying, "Hello, Sam. I'm agent So and so..." they get talking about Fisher joining that terrorist organization and then the game freezes. And I have hacked this game exactly as is supposed to done. Also, another thing is, this game still has minor glitches. For instance, when an enemy is alerted of your presence, you will hear a drum roll-type sound which is like "ddadaddadadddadad" and it's so loud, that's pretty much the only sound you can hear. And there are other glitches. Example: on the 2nd level, (after the movie you should skip) you are on a ship. You go down a staircase and in this hallway after you take out the guard patrolling the hallway you come to, you will carry him on your back, but you will NOT be able to stand up. Don't freak out. I call this the "Haunted Hallway" b/c not only can you NOT stand up if you crouch in this hallway, but you will hear an almost CONSTANT sound like when you alert the guards. (dadadaddadad) When that happened to me, I thot I would have to play the rest of the game crouched, which would have sucked, but I would've done it. I kept thinking, "Great, what's next." But if you can look past these minor glitches just keep in mind you are playing a 2.60 game on a 1.50. DON'T BITCH! (that's what I told myself. LOL) Everything is fine after you get past these parts.
BUT-- DO NOT USE THE RIP KIT! It glitches the game sooooo badly. It skips and if you blow the mission by killing an enemy when you're not supposed to (Lambert's orders) it says "Mission Failed" and you just sit there and can't move. You can't hit "Home" and you can't restart. You have to do a hard reset. Plus, the a lot of the dialogue is gone, so if you interrogate someone, you won't be able to get the important info to complete the mission. You'll just see a box at the top right which says "Forward Comm". The rip kit kills it. However, when I am done w/ the game, I am going to use the "Extreme Rip Kit", which brings teh game down to like 290MB. That way, I can still have the game, but won't be missing anything even if the audio is cut out b/c I will have beaten it and plus, I will be able to fit around 4 more ISOs on my MS.
Well, I read earlier posts, so it's apparent you got the password for the .rar file of Splinter Cell open. I friggen hate that about torrents. Who the hell puts passwords on files like that? Like it's a damn secret gov't file or some 5hit? So did you try that language file trick I suggested? A few of us here are wondering if it did... That would be cool and I have confidence that it will work if you ever get back to us...
