You might try looking into a replacement, they're pretty cheap.

i was going to buy one on ebay but there isnt any...only the ribbon itself which is a kick in the pants. I had a look on some websites and they sell for about £10-£15 which is too much money to spend on something that may not work hence why the pinouts would be handy cos i could make a hardwire switch set instead to test it out and replace it later.
If anyone knows a little bit it could probably help

thanks,

http://www.mod-chip.com/Lite/Ribbon_Cable_Install_Guide_V4-V11_LI...
there are install instructions
I know places that have them for like $7 USD
But the only store i know in the UK (ghostfitters) doesn't have them.
i put in a search for "eject ribbon UK" and came up with these

http://www.psxspares.co.uk/ps2spares.php
http://www.sontin.co.uk/ps2repair.htm

and i am sure you can find more, that was only what came up on the first page.
